Teaching Methods — Learning Through Play
Learning through play is an essential part of our nursery and our way to develop your child’s problem-solving skills, imagination, creativity, language, observation skills, memory and concentration. Children and young people use play to test their theories about the world and their place in it.
Being active and playing supports young children’s learning and development through ‘doing’ and ‘talking’. The internal motivation that drives children to play arises from their observations of life around them, their biography, family, locality and culture. It awakens the child’s interest and independent self-motivated learning, which is a critical foundation for learning to learn.
The Early Years are amongst the most informative in our lives and it is very important that children’s experiences are educational, fun and help build positive self-images.
